LEADERSHIP & PROJECTS

I am a people manager and team leader. I empower designer growth, am responsible for all work associated with talent management processes, and oversee strategy, prioritization, and execution associated with project work to make sure it is in line with what the business needs most.

I find great joy in supporting the growth of designers while working through overall portfolio strategy and design delivery planning alongside other cross functional leaders in product, engineering, data science, policy, communications, legal, marketing, and others.

My shortest projects have lasted a few weeks while my longest projects have lasted up to a few years.

SYSTEMS THINKING

I practice regularly helping design ICs and managers transition their thinking through varying levels of zoom: from the 50k view of an ecosystem into the weeds of an individual touchpoint.

CURRENT ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
Sr. Design Management, Privacy & Data Practices

Meta Central Privacy
Oct 2022 – Present

Design leader and people manager supporting teams that define strategy and approach to developing products, processes, policies, and Meta-wide standards aimed at empowering consumers to make privacy decisions right for them by seamlessly connecting transparency with control. Service Design Network New York Chapter
Apr 2018 – Present

The New York Chapter of the Service Design Network, formerly the NYC Service Design Collective, is a non profit run entirely by volunteers that aims to make Service Design more accessible as a discipline and methodology that I co-founded in 2018. I also co-led the transition to new leadership in 2022. During my tenure as a chapter leader, we hosted over 50 interactive events with an average of over 65 people, won an award for innovative event strategy in 2019, became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2020, and published content (articles, video) shared globally.

I am passionate about teaching, and specifically about illuminating how multifaceted today’s designers can be – that we do not just work with fonts and colors anymore. Often we are well versed in research, strategy and innovation methodologies.  Additionally, when I teach I learn from others as much as they learn from me. I deeply enjoy instruction and facilitation – it helps me get to know and understand people in new ways. I have gotten involved in a handful of programs within my workplace as well as within my local community. I mentor for ADP List (over 100 sessions, over 3,000 minutes) and am regularly listed as top rated for my contributions not only in one on ones but through speaking at events.
